COMMUNITY WALK FOR PEACE
Raise Awareness and Funds for Peace and Healing
Redwood City, CA—The Tim Griffith Foundation invites you to promote peace and join our Community Walk for Peace on Saturday, April 12, 2015!  Proceeds from the walk will benefit local programs for underserved youth, Tim’s House addiction recovery program, and grief services for parents who have lost a child. The walk, a choice of 1.5 or 3 mile courses, will begin and end at Fair Oaks Elementary School,  2950 Fair Oaks Avenue, Redwood City, CA, and all walkers will enjoy a post-walk Party and BBQ.

FROM TRAGEDY TO HOPE
One Mother's Powerful Response to Violence Outside Giant's Ballpark
Redwood City, CA—Yesterday’s stabbing death of a baseball fan outside the Giants stadium reminds us that even during the most seemingly innocent times like spending a few hours at a ballpark with friends and family, we are not far from the potential to experience violence. Unfortunately what happened yesterday was not an isolated incident. In 2004, a 21-year-old young man, Tim Griffith, was fatally stabbed outside of Giants ballpark on the night that Barry Bonds hit his record breaking 700th home run in that season.

Local Nonprofit Hosts Retreat for Mothers Coping With the Loss of a Child
The sudden loss of a child is a devastating event for a parent. Recognizing that this particular type of loss requires a particular type of healing, the Tim Griffith Foundation, a local nonprofit, has created the Meadowlark Retreat to offer mothers a safe place to grieve, connect and heal.

GALA HONORS MEMORY OF TIM GRIFFITH

“IMAGINE” — the Fifth Annual Gala and Fundraiser for the Tim Griffith Memorial Foundation — included a croquet tournament, dinner and silent and live auctions. Thirty-five croquet players took part in the Nov. 21 tournament, which was staged at Beresford Park in San Mateo, and there were 270 attendees at that evening’s dinner and auction at the San Mateo Elks Lodge.

REDWOOD CITY: DEDICATION CEREMONY FOR TIM'S HOUSE WEDNESDAY
Bay City News – October 28, 2008
Tim's House, a supportive housing facility to help men stay clean and sober, will be dedicated Wednesday in a ceremony that will also honor the young man for whom the home is named. Tim's House will be used by men ages 18 to 35 who are currently enrolled in the San Mateo County Probation Department's Bridges Program, which is an outpatient day treatment program focused on drug offenders to help them end the cycle of drug abuse. The house is named for Tim Griffith of Redwood City who was a successful graduate of the Bridges program. Griffith was killed in 2004 outside of SBC Park after a San Francisco Giants game.
