Be a Foundation Peace Promoter!

August 25th would have been Tim’s 32nd birthday.  It is difficult to believe that it has been 11 years since Tim was taken from us. We want to celebrate and remember Tim and his peaceful, loving spirit. We want to recognize and acknowledge all the life-changing and peace inspiring work that has been done in his memory through the Tim Griffith Foundation.

Hundreds of deserving individuals and families have felt the support and kindness of the Foundation through its work promoting peace in the programs and services provided to those affected by addiction, violence and loss. Here is what we are celebrating as we remember Tim today:

  • Over $1 million raised to support the mission of the Foundation.
  • Over 64 grants given.
  • Tim’s House—Transitional housing for young men recovering from addiction and returning to society after incarceration: 100% leave the program with jobs and a place to live, 99% of drug screens are clean, and 75% are eligible  for their GED and all outstanding court matters are cleared.
  • Sequoia High School Transition Program—Supportingan on-site counsellor for high school students returning to mainstream high school after expulsion and/or incarceration.Graduation rates went from under 20% to over 80% for youth in this program.
  • Meadowlark Grief Retreats—80 grieving parents experienced comfort, care and guidance through their personal grief of losing a precious child.
