Tim's House

A safe place to come home to

As a collaborative project with TGMF and the San Mateo Service League, Tim's House was established in October 2008, a clean and sober supportive housing facility for young men ages 18 to 35, who are enrolled and in good standing in the San Mateo County Probation Department's Bridges Program.

Tim personally completed the Bridges program, and the foundation felt establishing Tim's House would honor his accomplishment and offer others the same opportunity for a healthier life. The House provides the stability of a structured, supportive living arrangement for young men to positively impact their successful completion of the Bridges program, maintain sobriety, and move on to a drug-free, productive and personally satisfying lifestyle. Length of residence is for the duration of the individual's Bridges involvement, up to one year. TGMF contributes $50,000 annually to fund Tim's House.

"I think in some ways Tim started this house on his own," Stacey Redman said the day the house was dedicated. "He always cared so much for people."

"This is a lot nicer than most of them," said Chris, 25, a Tim's House resident who has fought addictions for 10 years. "It makes you feel better when you wake up and live in a place like this."
